“We cannot all do great things, but we can do small things with great love.” – Mother Teresa
St. Anne’s Institution has been a pillar of education in the Kodagu region since 1841, when a group of visionaries laid the foundation for a transformative movement in learning. Continuing this legacy, St. Anne’s Degree College, established in 2007, has made remarkable strides, serving the educational needs of students from diverse backgrounds. Administered by the Mysore Diocesan Educational Society (MDES), a registered organization committed to fostering universal values such as brotherhood, love, peace, tolerance, respect for human dignity, while striving to nurture holistic development.
Our motto, “Let your light shine,” encourages every individual to recognize and share their unique talents and virtues. We believe in the power of self-expression, growth, and service to positively impact the world, fostering a vibrant, supportive community.
At St. Anne’s, we aim to cultivate not just intellectual growth but also physical, mental, social, emotional, and spiritual development. We believe education should extend beyond mere information acquisition to fully nurturing each student’s potential. By offering a rich academic environment and a wide array of extracurricular activities, we support students in becoming well-rounded individuals. This holistic approach has led to notable achievements, with our students consistently excel academically and earning accolades in conferences, sports, and cultural competitions, bringing laurels to our institution. These accomplishments are a testament to the unwavering dedication of our faculty members, staff and students.
We actively encourage student participation in debates, group discussions, workshops, seminars, and cultural events. By inviting distinguished speakers and experts, we expose our students to new ideas and perspectives, fostering a culture of innovation and critical thinking. With determination, hard work, and perseverance, we believe that any challenge can be overcome. Our magazine, “Anne’s Light,” and bi-annual newsletter, “ExcelAnne’s” keep all stakeholders informed and engaged with the college’s progress and achievements.
We take immense pride in our heritage and Kodagu’s natural beauty, cultural richness, and legacy of educational excellence. Our college stands as a beacon of knowledge and a testament to the academic aspirations of this extraordinary region.
Our alumni, true ambassadors of St. Anne’s, continue to excel globally, and their success stories inspire us to aim even higher.
