BCom Extension Activity – 2024

The Department of Commerce organized an extension program at GHPS, Chennangi. Mrs. Drishya, the HOD of the Commerce Department, and Pooja H.K., Assistant Professor, led a group of 54 students from II B. Com to the school at 10:00 am. The program was meticulously planned by the Commerce Department and flawlessly executed by the second-year B. Com students. These students volunteered their time and sponsored the green board, stationery, sports equipment, and prizes, significantly contributing to the event’s success.
Upon arrival, Mrs. Susha, the Headmistress of the Government School, warmly welcomed everyone explained the purpose of the visit, and ensured its smooth execution. The students distributed all the sponsored items, followed by entertaining games and a quiz competition, with prizes awarded to the winners. Refreshments were also provided to all.
The response to the program was overwhelmingly positive, with more than 50 school students actively participating. The children expressed their happiness and requested future visits. Mrs. Drishya expressed gratitude to everyone present, acknowledging the initiative of the students. The school management thanked the organizers and requested the continuation of such programs in the future. The students from the Commerce Department and the primary school children enjoyed spending time together. Overall, the extension program proved to be a rewarding experience for everyone involved.
