Open Mic Competition

On 1st October 2024, the Literary Club and the English Department, in association with IQAC, successfully conducted an open mic event in the college auditorium. The event aimed to provide a platform for students to showcase their oratory and creative skills, enabling them to express their thoughts in a free and engaging manner.
The open mic event saw enthusiastic participation, with 19 students taking part. The theme of the event was open-ended, allowing participants to express their views on any general topic of their choice. This flexibility encouraged a wide range of creative and thoughtful presentations, reflecting the diversity of ideas and perspectives within the student community.
The participants were judged based on two key criteria:
Theme: The relevance and originality of the topic chosen by the participant.
Presentation: The clarity, confidence, and overall delivery of the speech or performance.
Mrs. Soumya Somaraj and Mrs. Nisha C. L. were the judges for the event.
Outcome:
The event was a great success, with participants delivering a wide range of presentations covering topics from social issues to personal experiences, creativity, and motivation. The event not only allowed students to express their ideas but also helped in enhancing their public speaking and presentation skills.
