BBA Extension Activity 2024

As part of our college’s community outreach program, the students of III BBA at St. Anne’s Degree College in Virajpet initiated an extension activity on March 27, 2024, at the Government Primary School in Heggala Village. The primary objective of this initiative was to support the educational development of underprivileged students, foster community engagement, and promote a culture of volunteerism among college students.

The students organized various sports events, including ball-passing, lemon-and-spoon races, and musical chairs, to encourage sportsmanship and teamwork among the school children. In addition to sports, the college students educated the school children about the importance of cleanliness, personal hygiene, and healthy habits. Essential items such as sweaters, water bottles, and pencil boxes were distributed to the school children. Furthermore, all the prize winners from the sports events were awarded prizes, celebrating their achievements and encouraging future participation.

The extension activity was a success in promoting education, social awareness, and community engagement. Through a combination of interactive games and informative sessions, valuable lessons were imparted, fostering holistic development and empowerment among the children.

Outcome: The initiative resulted in increased enthusiasm among the children for physical activities and improved awareness regarding health and hygiene practices.
