National Science Day Celebration-2025

The B.Sc. Department of our institution celebrated National Science Day on February 28, 2025. This day is observed annually to commemorate the anniversary of Sir C.V. Raman’s groundbreaking discovery of the Raman Effect in 1928, which earned him the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1930.To mark the occasion, Karnataka’s Department of School Education and Literacy (DSEL) and Collegiate Education had issued a circular mandating that an oath be administered in all schools and colleges at 11:00 AM to emphasize the significance of scientific temper and innovation in education.

Competitions and Student Participation
To encourage student engagement and creative expression, various competitions were organized for the B.Sc. students. The competitions aimed to enhance knowledge, analytical skills, and creativity among students.
1. Quiz Competition
A science-based quiz competition was conducted, testing students’ knowledge in various scientific fields such as physics, chemistry, biology, space science, and general scientific discoveries.
2. Collage Making Competition (Theme: “Save Earth”)
The collage-making competition focused on the theme of environmental conservation.Students created innovative and visually appealing collages depicting issues like climate change, deforestation, pollution, and sustainable solutions.
3. Elocution Competition (Topic: “Science and Artificial Intelligence”)
The elocution competition provided students with a platform to express their thoughts on the role of artificial intelligence in science and society.
Participants delivered thought-provoking speeches on how AI is revolutionizing industries like healthcare, education, automation, and research.
