Blood Donation and Health Checkup Camp-2022

The Youth Red Cross Cell and IQAC, in collaboration with St. Joseph’s Hospital, Mysore, organized a “Blood Donation and Free Health Checkup Camp” on the college campus on 08/12/2022. The program was presided over by Rev. Fr. Issac Rathnakar, Correspondent of St. Anne’s Institution.
The program began with a prayer song, followed by the welcome address to the dignitaries: Rev. Fr. Issac Rathnakar, Correspondent of St. Anne’s Institution; Rev. Fr. Yesu Prasad, Assistant Parish Priest of St. Anne’s Church; Mrs. Trupthi Bopanna, Principal, St. Anne’s Degree College; Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim, Blood Bank Director, St. Joseph’s Hospital, Mysore; Dr. Sr. Helen, Officer, St. Joseph’s Hospital, Mysore; Mr. Jomon Thomas, St. Anne’s P.U. College; Mrs. Hema, IQAC Co-ordinator; Mr. Shanthibhushan B.N., Youth Red Cross Officer; and Mrs. Drishya, HOD of Commerce.
Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim highlighted the positive and negative aspects of blood donation. Rev. Fr. Issac Rathnakar emphasized the values, significance, and importance of saving a life through blood donation.
Altogether, 37 students and 4 staff members donated blood, and 132 students availed themselves of the free medical checkup. The program concluded with a vote of thanks. Ann Mary of II BBA served as the Master of the Ceremony.
