On October 3, 2024, St. Anne’s Degree College, Virajpet celebrated the inauguration of its Cultural Club alongside Fresher’s Day. This occasion brought together students, faculty, and distinguished guests for a day filled with artistic expression and community spirit. The highlight of the event was a mesmerizing musical concert by Mr. Anvith C V, a quarterfinalist from Zee Kannada’s SAREGAMAPA, who captivated the audience with his soulful renditions. Adding to the cultural richness of the day, Ms. Suraksha Vailya showcased her exceptional talent in Bharatanatyam, leaving attendees in awe of her grace and skill.
The first-year students also took the stage with a talent exhibit, displaying their diverse abilities and enthusiasm. The event was graced by the presence of Chief Guest Rev. Fr. James Dominic, Correspondent, St. Anne’s Institutions, who highlighted the significance of cultural participation in shaping well-rounded individuals.
Mrs. Prathima Rai, Cultural Coordinator, delivered a compelling keynote address that encouraged students to embrace their creativity and engage with the arts. The event concluded with inspiring remarks from Mrs. Trupti Bopanna, principal, St. Anne’s Degree College, who urged students to take full advantage of the opportunities provided by the Cultural Club. Overall, the inauguration was a resounding success, setting a vibrant tone for the year ahead and reinforcing the college’s commitment to nurturing cultural engagement among its students.
