Industrial Visit-2024

The purpose of this visit was to expose students to practical applications of advanced agricultural techniques and provide insight into the latest innovations in farming.
Krishi Vignana Kendra is an agricultural extension centre that focuses on research, training, and demonstration of modern farming practices, serving as a hub for local farmers. The visit began with a warm welcome, and the students were briefed on the day’s schedule and the key areas they would be exploring. The schedule included several demonstrations and interactive sessions led by KVK experts. Additionally, students visited experimental plots, laboratories, and other facilities at the centre. Students involved in the demonstration on soil testing and the importance of maintaining soil health for sustainable agriculture were made aware to the students. Students learned about pest management practices and how to minimize the use of chemical pesticides.
Field Visits: Students visited experimental plots where they saw ongoing research on new crop varieties and the cultivation process.
Learning Outcomes: Students gained practical knowledge that they can apply in their academic projects and future work. The visit exposed students to new agricultural technologies.
