Social Entrepreneurship & Sustainable Development Activities (MGNCRE)

In view of celebrating National Entrepreneurship Day (9th Nov) & Women Entrepreneurship Day (19th Nov), IQAC & Entrepreneurship Cell of the college had jointly organized “Social Entrepreneurship & Sustainable Development Activities” on 14 Nov 2022 as per the direction given by MGNCRE. It was organized to provide opportunity for each participant to exhibit their skills, create awareness & to educate the students how to meet the needs of the present time without compromising the ability of the future generation to meet their own needs, to impart knowledge & entrepreneurship skills to individual students such that they may get self employability skill to start their own business.
Miss. Sharlet & Miss. Rashmi of 3rd B. Com mastered the ceremony & Miss. Dekshitha of the 2nd BCA welcomed the gathering. The E-Cell Convener, Mr. Joyson Lobo, addressed the gathering, enlightening them on the importance of entrepreneurship skills, which are essential in student life that enable them to reach their goal in life & become self-sufficient. The NSS officer & HOD of the Department of Kannada, Mr. Arjun H R, shared his experience in the field of his business. He also elaborated on the process involved in setting up a business & various skills that are required to become an entrepreneur. Mrs. Trupti Bopanna, Principal, presided over the programme & said that self-employment is crucial in the present competitive world rather than getting a job & working for a company. The students launched their products, which were produced by them with visual aids.
Miss. Vaisnavi of 3rd B. Com concluded the program with a vote of thanks. Students were given the opportunity to setup stalls in the campus. This activity was introduced to have practical experience on various marketing strategies & entrepreneurship skills. The student participants were able to sell their products to their customer within the campus successfully.
