The Staff Welfare Committee, in collaboration with the IQAC, organized a one-day excursion to Talakadu and Shivanasamudra on August 10, 2024. A group of 17 faculty members participated in the trip, which was designed to blend cultural enrichment with natural beauty. The trip began with an early departure from the institution at 6:00 AM.
The first destination, Talakadu, is renowned for its historical significance, Talakadu features ancient temples buried beneath sand dunes, remnants of a once-thriving medieval town. Faculty members explored key temples such as the Vaidyeshvara and Kirtinarayana Temples, appreciating their intricate carvings and historical inscriptions.
After lunch, the trip continued to Shivanasamudra, famous for its stunning waterfalls – Gaganachukki and Bharachukki. The faculty admired the breathtaking views and the cool mist from the falls, which provided a refreshing break from the day’s travel and a much-needed respite from their regular work routine.
The excursion was successful, offering valuable cultural and natural experiences while fostering camaraderie among the faculty members. It also served as a refreshing change from the usual work environment, revitalizing everyone involved.
