On August 15, 2024, St. Anne’s Institutions celebrated the 78th Independence Day with great patriotism and enthusiasm. The event began promptly at 8:00 AM on the college grounds, where students, faculty, and staff gathered to honour the nation’s freedom.
The ceremony commenced with the hoisting of the national flag by the Chief Guest for the occasion, Rev. Fr. James Dominic, Correspondent of St. Anne’s Institutions, symbolizing the pride and unity of the nation. As the flag unfurled against the morning sky, the gathering stood in unison to sing the National Anthem, paying tribute to the sacrifices made by countless freedom fighters.
The event was further graced by the presence of Rev. Fr. Madalai Muthu, Principal of the PU College and Correspondent of the Degree College at St. Anne’s Institutions And Mrs. Trupti Bopanna, Principal, St. Anne’s Degree College.
The celebration was marked by a special address by the Chief Guest, who spoke about the importance of independence and the role of education in preserving the values of freedom and democracy.
The Independence Day celebration was a memorable occasion, leaving everyone with a renewed sense of patriotism and a deeper appreciation for the country’s rich heritage.
