The orientation program for first-year students enrolled in BCA (General and AI/ML), B.Com, BBA, and BSc (PCM) for the 2024-25 batch was organized on August 17, 2024, as an IQAC initiative.
The session began with a blessing ceremony led by Rev. Fr. Madalai Muthu, Correspondent of St. Anne’s Degree College, Virajpet, who offered prayers and blessings, setting a positive and hopeful tone for the students’ academic journey.
To further instill a sense of inclusivity and positivity, verses from the Bhagavad Gita, Quran, and Bible were recited. This gesture symbolized the unity in diversity within the student body, fostering a welcoming atmosphere for all.
After the spiritual segment, the orientation shifted to provide detailed insights about the college. The Principal, Mrs. Trupti Bopanna, addressed the students, extending a warm welcome to the new batch. She emphasized the importance of embracing the opportunities provided by the college and encouraged the students to strive for both academic and personal growth during their time at the institution. The heads of various departments addressed the students, offering briefings on their respective courses. They highlighted the course structures, expected outcomes, and the opportunities each program provides. This information was crucial in helping the students understand what to anticipate from their academic programs and how to best navigate their studies.
Overall, the orientation program successfully welcomed the new students, providing them with both spiritual guidance and essential academic information to start their college journey on a strong footing.
