St. Anne’s Degree College and PG Center celebrated National Youth Day in commemoration of Swami Vivekananda Jayanti. The event was presided over by Mrs. Trupti Bopanna (Principal ) and key attendees included Mrs. Hema B D (IQAC Co-ordinator), Mr. Arjun (Head of Kannada Department), Mrs. Malini B M (Assistant Professor, Commerce Department) and Mrs. Pooja (Assistant Professor, Commerce Department).
The celebration featured a portrayal of Swami Vivekananda’s principles and their impact on shaping the future of youth by the MCom students through a skit. The skit effectively conveyed the essence of Swami Vivekananda’s teachings and their relevance in contemporary society.
Mr. Arjun, the Head of Kannada Department, addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of incorporating Swami Vivekananda’s teachings into our daily lives. He highlighted the need for a deeper understanding of Vivekananda’s preachings, stressing their potential to guide individuals towards a more purposeful and meaningful life.
Principal Mrs. Trupti Bopanna, in her presidential remarks, commended the students for taking the initiative to celebrate the 161st birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. She underscored the significance of understanding the modern-day implications of Swami Vivekananda’s teachings and encouraged everyone to internalize Vivekananda’s principles and apply them in navigating the challenges of contemporary life.
